Best wishes for 2026!

The past year brought many fond memories of cycling and being outdoors, of adventures big and small. We hope you all look back on a year with some special moments to remember. We also wish you all the best for 2026! That it may bring you new cycling adventures.

Below we have some updates with regards to the 2026 edition of Arden2Eifel

Registration

Since mid October registration has been open and we have seen more entries so far than last year in the same period. As we are a small organization and small event, we are happy to see the enthousiasm of people. To keep things manageable and in the same spirit, we decided that we will allow a maximum of 40 entries. Registration remains open until July 1st 2026 or when we reach the maximum.

Caps

Handmade cap production started in the past weeks again by hands of Djoeke herself. We are running out of the original fabric used for the previous editions. So, new editions will see a change of cap design. For the 2026 it will be your last chance of obtaining the original style cap!

Route 2026

The route for 2026 will again see tweaks compared to last year. Nothing major, but up to 10% of the route will see some changes. Rationale for these changes could be to simply providing a better riding experience, nicer viewpoint, re-routing from private land or simply for the sake of changing it. Start point will remain the same in Namur, in front of the youth hostel. Checkpoints will also remain the same in Herbeumont (Belgium) and Neroth (Germany) as will the finish in Trier at the Porta Nigra.

Bike Adventures Start Small

What is gradually becoming a family tradition during the Christmas break is to sleep outside for one night. This year we did a small cycling adventure with our son in the Eifel, sleeping in of the shelters in the woods. It remembers us that although we can participate in multi-day bikepacking races during a year, these kind of family adventures brings us the most joy.
